Manufacturing Finds Prominent Place in
White House Report
Factory nerds will undoubtedly feel a warm sense of affirmation reading the new Economic Report of the President, which came out this morning.
The report uses the word “manufacturing” 118 times, not counting 50-some mentions in the references, appendix and charts tacked to the back. In the introduction, after noting that the administration’s top priority is growing middle-class jobs, President Barack Obama writes: “We can begin by making America a magnet for new jobs and manufacturing.”
