US scrap exports fall by 12% in 2012
.According to data, the US exported around 21.39 million tons of ferrous scraps in 2012, decreasing by 12% from a year ago.
It’s analyzed that the decreased scrap exports were caused by the lower demand from China. China’s scrap imports from the US slumped by 54% to 1.94 million tons in 2012, the lowest level over the past 12 years.
